Ubud

UbudUbud is a city where cultural events related to art, music, dance and live literature for centuries. Situated in the central part of the attractive island of Bali in Indonesia. Centuries ago, over 100 years Ubud has been “royal city”. Local rulers are called Dzhokorda or Agung to this day their descendants live in palaces of their predecessors.

The city has uniqueness and elitist atmosphere while being surrounded by beautiful scenery, lush paddy fields, small villages and pretty art and craft centers. In the vicinity of Ubud are preserved several interesting palace and temple, which are in excellent condition. The main streets of town are three, but say they feel the true spirit of Indonesian village must go through the narrow streets. With them are scattered numerous cafes, workshop, where a culture actually goes atmosphere of the city.

In this town is actually much quieter than all other parts of Bali. The main attractions here can tour with a walk, although traffic and the heat may seem an obstacle. But if you want to enjoy the picturesque surrounding areas is better to take your car. In the south of Ubud and there is a monkey reserve where tourists can eat cynomolgus monkeys with bananas. Immediately after the reserve is belong here Museum of Fine Arts, where you can see the rich collection of works of art.
